Unlicensed vehicles banned in North Darfur’s El Fasher
As of Sunday, vehicles without a license will be confiscated in El Fasher locality in North Darfur.
The commissioner of the locality issued a decree, banning the movement of unlicensed vehicles, following the deadline of last Friday set by the Government of North Darfur for the registration of vehicles -without sanctions- that have illegally been brought into the state.
The committee responsible for the inventory and registration of illegal vehicles in North Darfur handed licenses to about 2,500 owners so far.
Informal reports say there are about 9,000 unregistered vehicles in Darfur.
