Man killed, farmers injured in North Darfur attacks
A resident of Kabkabiya in North Darfur was shot dead on Friday. Militant herders wounded three people in Tawila locality over the weekend.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a neighbour of the victim reported that Mohamed Ismail Doud was fatally hit by bullets in the Northern District in Kabkabiya on Friday evening.
“Two gunmen suddenly opened fire on Doud in front of his house, and fled,” he said. “We all wonder about the reason for the killing, as Doud did not have any enemy.”

On Saturday, militant herders riding 45 camels and others driving two Land Cruisers mounted with Dushka machineguns besieged the area of Katur in North Darfur’s Tawila locality.
They accused the people living in the area of stealing 250 camels and 150 cows from them the former day.
A village sheikh told this station that they shot Adam Bakhit Ibrahim, El Deim Haroun, and Adam Mohamed Yousef. “They are being treated by a medical assistant living in the area.”
An army force intervened on Sunday, and separated the herders from the villagers. “The situation in the area however is still tense,” the sheikh said.
