Youth leader, student arrested in Central Darfur
Military forces entered a camp for displaced people near Nierteti in Central Darfur on Sunday and Monday, and arrested two young men.
A witness told Radio Dabanga that the soldiers raided the northern camp of Nierteti on Sunday morning and blocked the roads under the pretext that someone had seized as soldier’s weapon and taken it into the camp. The men arrested Abakar Mohamed Ahmed, a student of the Faculty of Education at the University of El Geneina.

Another army force returned to the camp on Monday and raided it for a second time, arresting Ahmed Abdallah Omar. He is the head of the youth in the camp.
Gireida vendor arrested
Security agents arrested Ibrahim Adam Moya in Abuja market in Gireida, South Darfur, on Monday morning. The 35-year-old shoe vendor was apprehended inside his shop and taken to the security offices, on charges of having contact with rebel movements in Darfur.
The activist who reported the arrest to Radio Dabanga called for Adam Moya’s immediate release.
