Troops of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) bound for Yemen to participate in the Saudi-led forces storm paraded in the South Darfur capital of Nyala on Monday, with senior officers taking the salute.
Troops of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) bound for Yemen to participate in the Saudi-led forces storm paraded in the South Darfur capital of Nyala on Monday, with senior officers taking the salute.
Major General Esam Fadil, second in command of the RSF, said “the troops will provide a model for the Sudanese soldier's courage in the battlefields through outside participation”.
Major General Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, commander of the Sixteenth Infantry in Nyala urged the soldiers heading to Yemen “to provide a model in dedication, steadfastness and discipline on the path of their predecessors there”.
Sudanese soldiers deployed in Yemen have experienced fierce fighting . On 10 June, 17 Sudanese soldiers were killed in north-west Yemen fighting Houthi forces.
