Women resist rapists in Tawila, North Darfur
A resident of Rwanda camp for the displaced in Tawila locality sustained a broken leg on Wednesday when she and three other women stood up against gunmen who attempted to rape them.
On Wednesday afternoon, three men on camels intercepted Hawa Adam Ismail, Kaltoum Adam, Asha Mohamed, and Fatima Ahmed, as they went to collect firewood and straw near the camp.

“They tried to rape the women, but left after they were fiercely resisted,” a Rwanda camp elder reported.
He said that Mohamed sustained a broken leg. “She was taken to the hospital for treatment. The incident was reported to the police.”
