Women, child shot dead in Darfur’s Jebel Marra
Two women and a child were shot dead in the area of Dirbat in Jebel Marra on Monday morning. “Aziza Adam Haroun (40) and Hasina Yahya Mohamed (25), together with Mubarak Hussein Abdallah (10), were collecting water from a well in the area of Dirbat in Jebel Marra at about 8am, when a government troop suddenly opened fire on them,” a relative of Haroun told Radio Dabanga. “The three were killed instantly,” he said, “and their two donkeys too.” The relative added that the reason for the sudden shooting was unknown.
