Witness claims police refuses to investigate killing in N Darfur

An unknown armed group robbed and killed yesterday a man in the Abu Deimat area, North Darfur. A relative of the victim says the police refuses to investigate the matter. A relative of Mohammed Sineen said three gunmen on camels opened fire against him and he died immediately. According to the relative, Sineen was on his way back home in Khizan Gadid when he was attacked in the Abu Deimat area. The source added he followed traces of the gunmen to Shairia town and informed the police about the incident. The police refused to investigate the matter. On another note, gunmen shot yesterday the displaced person Adam Ahmed, from the Kassab camp. Ahmed was on his way back to the camp to check on his home. His relative informed Radio Dabanga that Ahmed, who got shot on his thigh, is seriously injured and was rescued by UNAMID troops stationed in the camp.The relative informed Radio Dabanga that UNAMID transfered Ahmed by helicopter to El-Fasher for treatment.
