Win for South Darfur team in Sudan’s League
The football team of Merrikh Nyala won from Ahli Khartoum with 1-0 at home in the Sudan Premier League on Thursday.

Camerounian player Junior scored the goal for Merrikh Nyala in the second half of the match. In total the team has won 11 points while Ahli Khartoum has kept its 10 points after their match in the 14th round of the League.
Last week, a football fan stabbed the goalkeeper of Hilal El Fasher during a match in Kadugli.
Since last week, El Merreikh, with 23 total points, has lost its first position to Hilal Omdurman (25 points). El Khartoum remains at the second place.
West Kordofan Cup
The football union of Shamber in West Kordofan's El Salam locality will organise a competition under the slogan 'Sport brings us together' from 25 March 15 April.
On Thursday, head of the union Abdallah Hassan Omar told Radio Dabanga that the purpose of the competition “is to strengthen relations between the tribes of the area, unify the feelings of the citizens, and act to repair the social fabric and peaceful coexistence”.
The competition will take place between 12 local clubs. The winning team will take home a donated cup (see photo).
