West Kordofan protest against detention of anti-election fraud activists

Hundreds of people in Lagawa, West Kordofan, took to the streets on Tuesday, in protest against the detention of three members of the Youth for Lagawa.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, one of the protesters told Radio Dabanga that the demonstration started at the Lagawa Youth Centre. “We passed Freedom Square, and headed towards the Lagawa locality offices. The people chanted slogans denouncing the election fraud, and calling for freedom, democracy and justice.”

She explained that the Sultan of the Dajo tribe, Abbas Osman, lawyer Yasir Mohamed, and activist Mohamed El Hassan were held by security officers after they had file a complaint against cases of corruption they had discovered during the voting process.
