People in Muglad, Babanusa, Dibab, El Siteeb, and Mairam have affirmed their solidarity with the protesters in Lagawa, according to an activist from Muglad. “All the people in West Kordofan complain about injustice and marginalisation,” he told Radio Dabanga.

“Although West Kordofan is considered one of the richest states of the country, with its oil reserves, animal and agricultural resources, its residents are suffering from a shortage of clean drinking water health, health and educational services, bad roads and infrastructure, in fact a lack of all services.”

He called on “all the people of Kordofan, particularly West Kordofan, to support the Lagawa protests by organising similar sit-ins in their hometowns, in order to achieve their demands”.
