West Darfur doctors continue strike against non-payment

The strike of the junior doctors in El Geneina hospital, West Darfur, entered its third day on Thursday. They are protesting the non-payment of financial dues by the Ministry of Health. On Tuesday, about 20 junior doctors started their strike in the capital of West Darfur against the delayed payment of bonuses  for last June. They also demand an increase of the incentives from SDG 300 to 600 ($105), a better work environment, and the provision of medical supplies. On Tuesday, one of the striking doctors told Radio Dabanga: “Earlier, we had submitted a memorandum to the Ministry of Health calling for the provision of life-saving drugs and emergency items.
