West Darfur camp inundated as reservoir collapses
The collapse of the Furlei water reservoir on Saturday led to the destruction of more than 250 homes in the Ardamata camp for the displaced in El Geneina locality, West Darfur. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, one of the Ardamata camp sheikhs reported that the collapse of the reservoir, located eight km from the camp, and torrential rains led to heavy flooding.“The floods uprooted a number of trees, and wiped away more than 250 homes in the camp.
