There is an ongoing outbreak of viral disease affecting children, from infants to two-year olds, in camps for displaced persons around Zalingei. Sources among the displaced said they do not know the exact diagnosis of the disease, but they explained that it causes diarrhea and severe vomiting in children.
There is an ongoing outbreak of viral disease affecting children, from infants to two-year olds, in camps for displaced persons around Zalingei. The coordinator of the IDP camps around Zalingei appealed to the World Health Organization and UNICEF to move immediately to diagnose the disease, find effective treatment and respond rapidly. The coordinator was speaking to Radio Dabanga from Hamadiya Camp outside of Zalingei.
