Villagers facing lack of water
Residents of eight villages in North Darfur are experiencing water shortages as a result of failing water sources. Frequent militia attacks and an inability to service the pumps has stopped them working, leaving over 15,000 people and thousands of cattle traveling long distances to search for water, said a resident from a village in Dar El Salaam locality to Radio Dabanga. He worried that if not corrected quickly the situation will deteriorate. The villager called on authorities to provide protection and end the abuse and violations caused by militias.
