Vendor murdered for 30 pounds in Central Darfur
Militiamen killed a vendor (26), and wounded three of his relatives in Kass, Central Darfur, on Thursday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a listener said that “two militiamen requested six mobile phone recharge cards, two MTN, and two Zain cards, with a combined value of SDG30 ($5.20), from the shop of Yasir Abdel Rahman in El Salam district in Kass on Thursday afternoon”. After the gunmen received the cards, they refused to pay. When Abdel Rahman protested, they shot him dead on the spot.
