US ambassador in Chad visits Sudan refugee camps
The ambassador of the US embassy in Chad visited a Sudanese refugee camp in the east of the country this week to assess the conditions of its residents. Ambassador Mark Boulware was accompanied by a representative of United Nations Development Program and by the deputy commander of the police force in charge of protecting Sudanese camps. While in camp Djabal, Boulware assessed refugees’ security, humanitarian, health, educational, and water situations.
