UNICEF to cooperate with government on Darfur water projects
The government of West Darfur and UNICEF signed an agreement to cooperate on a number of water projects in the state. According to the agreement, UNICEF will provide $8.6 million and the state government of West Darfur will provide $1.8 million. The UNICEF Representative in Sudan, Nils Kastburg, said that the organizations is signing these agreement with the Darfur state government as part of its contribution to support development and stability and offering the necessary services to the civilians like education, health and water services, in addition to improving the economy of the state.
