Unamid peacekeeper slain in North Darfur attack
A Rwandan peacekeeper has died after a Unamid convoy came under attack by unknown gunmen on Sunday in North Darfur. The peacekeeper, who was shot during the attack, died of his wounds in the Mission’s hospital in Kabkabiya.The death of the Rwandan soldier has now raised the number of peacekeepers the Mission has lost in 2013 to 14. The latest attack happened at the Kabkabiya-Saraf Omra road, a Unamid statement confirms.
