Typhoid outbreak in Rahid El Barda, 22 food poison cases in Halouf, S. Darfur
Typhoid broke out in Rahid El Barda, South Darfur. According to Dr. Al Sadig Muhammad Ali, medical director of the locality, the outbreak has an estimated incidence of about 60%.He appealed to citizens in Rahid El Barda to wash their hands with soap three times after each meal and not to defecate in the open. He also called upon all workers in the restaurants to have a medical examination. His advice was aired on Radio Dabanga this morning.

Elsewhere in the state, one child died and 22 relatives were hurt from one family by cases of food poisoning. This occurred in Halouf area northwest of Nyala in South Darfur. The Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Health, Abdel-Jabbar Aldho, said a medical team departed on Wednesday to find out the reasons and address the situation.
