Citizens in Rehed El Berdi Locality in the southwestern part of South Darfur State complained of lack of medication for typhoid and conjunctivitis. The locality has been hit hard by heavy seasonal rains, making travel from the state capital very difficult, Radio Dabanga learnt last week.
Speaking over Radio Dabanga, one of the area residents appealed for distributions of medicines in the locality. He said citizens asked the state government to immediately intervene by sending the medications and reducing their prices to be accessible to the citizens. They also asked for a medical team to be sent to contribute with treatment and guidance.
