Two sheiks among injured in West Darfur flood
Rains and floods have caused a number of injuries among the displaced of camp Abu Suruj in Sirba locality, West Darfur on Monday. Thirty-six houses and a hospital have collapsed. A women’s representative of Abu Suruj told Radio Dabanga said that a five-hour downpour resulted in the injury of several people at the camp, including Sheikh Ibrahim Bashir and Sheikh Daoud Dagesh.The ensuing flash flood destroyed houses, as well as Al Kouma hospital where the displaced receive treatment. Large numbers of livestock were also lost. The representative appealed to humanitarian organisations to provide emergency aid for the displaced.
