Two gang-raped near Tabit, North Darfur
A group of six militiamen raped two women south of Tabit in Tawila locality, North Darfur, this morning.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, an eyewitness reported that the militiamen riding camels attacked the two women at about 9 am as they fetched water from a well near Um Beja, 15 kilometres south of Tabit.
“They seized the women at gunpoint, and raped them alternately for three continuous hours,” he said.
The source appealed to “the authorities in North Darfur and in Khartoum to intervene and stop the militant Abbala tribesmen raping our women each morning”.
