Two Darfur students arrested in Khartoum
The national security of Sudan has arrested two students of the Shariq Al Nil-college in Shambat (Khartoum North). Others were injured. Ammar Mohammed and Haider Munir were arrested during a cultural event organized by the Darfur Student Association on Thursday, a member told Radio Dabanga.

While the event was taking place, the security forces together with pro-government students armed with crowbars and machetes attacked the students at the event. Five students sustained severe injuries, Murtadar Mohamed Ahmed (fractured skull), Al Mardi Mohamed Hussein (stabbed with a knife), Mohamed Osman (broken hand) and Ibrahim Osman Musa (several wounds).
The student association member added hat the security forces detained Haider Munir, a college student, and Omar Mohamed, student of Ahlia University in Omdurman. The student emphasized that this incident is a continuation of the attacks that targeted the Darfuri students in the capital Khartoum.
