Tribal leader killed in South Darfur
The El Dajo tribal chief and former Commissioner of Baida locality in West Darfur was shot dead in the South Darfur capital of Nyala on Thursday.
“Unidentified gunmen riding in a Land Cruiser fired a barrage of bullets at Omda Jamal Ahmed Abdeljabbar, when he refused to hand his mobile telephone,” a relative of the victim reported to Radio Dabanga.
“He was getting some fresh air in front of his house in El Nil district in Nyala on Thursday evening. The murderers fled immediately after he fell dead on the ground.”
