Traders close down shops as Abu Tira threaten to attack
On Monday traders in Al Lait Jar Al Nabi, North Darfur, closed down their shops after Abu tira forces (central reserve forces) threatened to attack and loot the market. A trader said all shop owners closed down their shops this morning after elements of Abu Tira forces threatened to storm the market. He added that local authorities told the traders they were unable to protect them against Abu Tira, in absence of approval from the head of police. A witness said two people looted the market on Sunday breaking into a shop and stealing money and mobile phones.
