Three Sudanese killed, six injured in Tripoli, Libya

Three Sudanese were killed, and six wounded by a stray missile in the Karimiya district in Tripoli, Libya, on Sunday. The spokesman for the Committee for Sudanese Stranded in Libya, El Tayeb Ishag, told Radio Dabanga from Tripoli that a stray missile hit a building hosting Sudanese in the war-torn Karimiya district. “Mohamed El Dud Bakhit, Ahmed Adam Juma, and Hassan Abdallah died instantly. Of the six people wounded, we obtained the names of Mohammed Hamed Ali, Eisa Abakar, and Haroun Abakar.” Ishag stressed the “very difficult situation in which the Sudanese in Libya are surviving”. “The Sudanese embassy and consulates cannot help us anymore, as they have been closed.” He appealed through Radio Dabanga to the Sudanese government and humanitarian organisations to “immediately intervene, and urgently evacuate the Sudanese nationals from Libya”.
