Three men abducted, militiamen have ‘new weapons’ in North Darfur

A teacher of the Kassab camp secondary school in Kutum locality, North Darfur, has been abducted by militiamen on Thursday. Two young men were kidnapped in North Darfur capital El Fasher on Saturday. Teacher Abdel Moula Ibrahim was abducted at the Abdel Shakour mine, where he runs a bakery rented during the holiday period. Witnesses reported to Radio Dabanga that militiamen seized him from the bakery, and transported him in a Prado to Damrat El Gubba. The kidnappers ask SDG100,000 ($17,500) for his release. Another kidnapping took place on Saturday. Two young men were abducted in El Fasher, and taken to Kutum town. They managed to escape, and handed themselves to the army. The witnesses added that they saw many militiamen in Kutum locality carrying new weapons on Sunday and Monday.
