Three injured in South Darfur village raid
Three men were seriously injured in Um Kurfa, south of Gireida, South Darfur on Saturday, when militiamen raided the village. One of the villagers reported to Radio Dabanga that gunmen wearing military uniforms, on camels and horses attacked at about 9pm. They beat the villagers with rifle butts, batons, and whips, injuring many of them. All the property of the villagers, money, clothes, food, and livestock were stolen. Imam Sadig Adam Mohamadein of the village mosque, Mohamed Abdel Rahman Disa, and Yagoub Mohamed Abdel Rahman were seriously injured when they were beaten inside their homes.
