Teachers strike in North Darfur’s Saraf Omra
On Wednesday, teachers in Saraf Omra locality in North Darfur embarked on a strike in protest against the delay of their salaries.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a teacher reported that he and his colleagues in Saraf Omra have not received their dues for two months.
He urged the North Darfur authorities “to speed up paying our salary as we desperately need it for our families and relatives”.
Last week, teachers in a number of localities in West Kordofan announced a strike in demand of the payment of their salaries.
