Teacher robbed, shot dead in North Darfur

A basic school teacher was killed, and a villager wounded in an attack by militiamen on Tangarara village in Kutum locality, North Darfur, on Thursday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a resident of Tangarara village, located 1km south of Kutum town, said that militiamen stormed the village on Thursday afternoon. They shot Ali Ahmed Mohamed Abdallah, teacher at the Tangarara basic school. He died instantly. His uncle, Mohamedein Mohamed Abdallah, sustained injuries, and had to be transferred to Kutum hospital. The militiamen then seized about 100 goats and sheep belonging to the school teacher, and fled.
