Switzerland supports training in cheese production in S. Darfur
A training centre for production of cheese was opened yesterday in Asaliya in South Darfur with the sponsorship of Switzerland and in coordination with the Pastoralists’ Development Council. The program trained 32 people from the Baggara tribe on producing cheese.

The ambassador of Switzerland called on the Darfur community to overcome what the war has brought, stating that the country of Switzerland has started development with the production of cheese, stressing that it should also turn to other productions such as meat and leather. The ambassador also called for developing animal resources in Darfur.
For his part, the engineer Tayar Abdulla Safi Elnour, the chairperson of the development council of the Darfur states appealed to regional and international organizations to support human resources in Darfur to achieve peace and increase the abilities of nomads and take concern in human development.
