Sudanese protesters charged
The Al Durushab Public Court in Khartoum north has filed charges against the detainees of El Khojalab who were arrested during last September’s demonstrations. Ibrahim Mohamed Elias, Waheed Awad, Yousef Salah, and Jaami Hamad El Nil were charged with public nuisance and illegal gathering The Court also charged Ashraf Omar Khodjaly, Mohammed Mujtaba, Abdul Mutalib Fadl Elmawla, Ayman Ali Abdalla, Anas Abd El Nour, Kabbashi Mohammed Ahmed, Nasrulddin Yaseen, Alauldin Kabbashi, Mohiuddin Mohammed Ahmed with criminal charges, according to their lawyer Amaal El Zain. El Zain said that the Court mentioned ‘property’ which is valued at SDG65,474 ($11,400) and scheduled a hearing for the evidence of the defence on Tuesday.
