Sudanese in Chad camps: some food items have ‘disappeared’
The head of a Sudanese refugee camp in eastern Chad said the site’s residents have noticed some food items have disappeared from food rations they receive since the beginning of this year. According to Yasin Yahya Abdul Karim items such as oil are no longer available in the rations and the amount of corn-mixture has been reduced, “causing great suffering to refugee families”.Next to the “food shortage” Karim noted the health center of Gaga camp is experiencing a lack of medicines and he demanded a “prompt” solution to these problems.Radio Dabanga file photo
