Sudan security services ‘inexplicably’ arrest man in N. Darfur
A citizen was “inexplicably” arrested on Thursday at the central market of Kabkabiya in North Darfur by the Sudanese security services on Thursday, onlookers said. Denouncing the arrest, witnesses told Radio Dabanga the detainee Jafar Mohamed Idris was taken to an “unknown destination”. Kabkabiya residents were said to have gathered around the town’s market to find out the reason behind Idris’ arrest, but they were not successful. A source disclosed that the security services launched an arrest campaign last week in Kabkabiya in which three citizens were also detained for unknown reasons.
