Sudan’s parliament summons ministers over Abbala siege in North Darfur
The Sudanese Parliament on Saturday summoned the Ministers of Interior, Health, and Social Welfare for an enquiry about the recent clashes between Abbala and Beni Hussein tribesmen in El Sareif Beni Hussein locality in North Darfur. Residents of the locality had submitted a memorandum to the Parliament, explaining that they are living in dire humanitarian conditions, as a result of the siege imposed on them by the Abbala.The speaker of the Parliament, El Fateh Izzeledin, called upon the ministers to restore the rule of law in the locality, and take measures to provide relief to the population of El Sareif Beni Hussein.
