Sudan Defence Ministry signs contract for new airports in Darfur
The Sudanese Ministry of Defence signed a contract on Sunday with the Khartoum Airports Holding to implement the construction of airports in Central and East Darfur. The Ministry stated that the estimated costs of the new airports, to be built in Zalingei, capital of Central Darfur, and Ed Daein, capital of East Darfur, are US$ 25 million. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Defence, Gen. Minister Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, and the head of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), Dr El Tijani Sese.
