El Sadig Adam Ismail’s passport was confiscated, and he was prevented from boarding the 1 am Egypt Air flight.
Ismail explained that he has already completed all travel formalities, and that he considers this a gross violation of his right to move and travel.
Ismail’s ban from travel came a few days after the security services banned Mohamed Abdallah El Doma, the co-president of the Umma National Party and chairman of the Darfur Bar Association, from traveling to Cairo for medical treatment after completing his travel procedures at Khartoum airport and confiscating his passport.
