Students injured in militia attack in West Darfur

Several students have reportedly been injured in an attack and robbery by militiamen on a Koranic retreat camp in Bir Dageeg, Sirba locality, in West Darfur on Tuesday. A sheikh told Radio Dabanga that a number of “pro-government militiamen” attacked the Koranic camp on Tuesday evening. “They beat and whipped the students, and stole their money, mobile phones and personal belongings”. The sheikh said that the same group then stole several cows, a donkey, and a horse from nearby camp Saraf Jidad.
