Storm hits West Darfur camps

Destroys nearly 50 tents in Garsila shelters

A violent storm destroyed nearly 50 tents in West Darfur’s Garsila camps on Sunday.The sheikh or community leader in the camp told Radio Dabanga that the storm, which lasted two hours, led to the destruction of Jebeleen 17 tents in the camp, 21 in the mountains of camp Aradeba and nine in the Jeddah camp.

The sheikh appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide urgent support and shelter for the displaced people of Garsila camp who have been affected by the storm.
