SRF calls for all opposition to unite, change regime in Khartoum
The Sudan Revolutionary Front says it is now operating in Darfur, Kordofan, the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile, united with the goal of toppling and changing the regime in Khartoum. In an interview with Radio Dabanga leader of a faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement and deputy chairman of the SRF, Abdel Wahid Nur said the Front is now spread out in the field, fighting on all fronts. He said what is happening in Darfur is weakening the regime on the margins until they are ready to progress to ‘the snakes hiding in Khartoum later this year’. Abdel Wahid appealed to all political and armed movements as well as civil society organisations in Sudan and abroad to unite or ally with the Revolutionary Front to change the regime in Khartoum. He said ‘the time has come to unite in the goal of regime change and if there are disagreements on the plan to rule the new modern democratic Sudan, the Sudanese people will have the final say.’
