SPLM-N attacks military convoy in Rashad, South Kordofan
Rebels of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) claim to have killed six army soldiers in South Kordofan’s Rashad locality.
In an attack on a military convoy, six army troops were killed, and more than 25 others were wounded, Arno Ngutulu Lodi, the spokesman for the SPLM-N reported in a statement on Tuesday.
The rebel fighters also destroyed two Land Cruisers, and seized a Dushka machinegun and six AKM rifles, Lodi claimed.
During the past days, the Sudanese army has intensified its attacks on the rebel stronghold town of Kauda, people reported from the area.
