South Sudan police detain 71 travelers from Nyala
Police have detained 71 travelers in one of Sudan’s southern states. Two trucks travelling with 71 passengers were forced to halt on the way from Nyala in South Darfur to Wau, the capital of Western Bahr El Ghazal. The travelers were businessmen. One passenger told Radio Dabanga that members of the police in Aweil halted the trucks and ordered them to go to Aweil center. The trucks and passengers have been kept there since Friday. The passenger said that the conditions are bad since the passengers ran out of food and drink in the detention center in Aweil.
