South Darfur welcomes El Merrikh Nyala football team
The South Darfur governor welcomed the members of El Merrikh Nyala football team at Nyala Airport on Wednesday, after their qualification for the Premier League last week.
State Governor Adam El Faki, accompanied by a large crowd of football supporters, congratulated the members of El Merrikh Nyala on their victory over El Shurta El Gedaref on Saturday, with which they qualified for the country’s major league.
The governor extended the Nyala curfew from midnight to 1 am on the occasion. He also announced a fundraising campaign for the team to start next week, whereby the residents of the city will be asked to pay one Sudanese Pound each.
