South Darfur governor sends soldiers to border
The governor of South Darfur said he has sent soldiers to confront Darfuri rebel movements in villages along the border with South Sudan. Spokesman Ahmed al-Tayb said authorities have taken ‘security measures’ to confront the opposition alliance Sudan Revolutionary Front, that has ‘penetrated villages such as Kafen Dabi and Kafye Kenji to prevent further infiltration’. He said the Front is active in the border areas trying to create ‘further tensions in Darfur.
