South Darfur football team qualifies for Sudan’s Premier League
The South Darfur football team of El Merrikh Nyala will join the Premier League.
On Saturday afternoon, the team qualified for the country’s major league after defeating El Shurta El Gedaref club team with two goals.
The million city of Nyala, capital of South Darfur, witnessed multiple celebrations in the streets as its El Merrikh team, for the first time in its history, will play in the Premier League.
El Ahli Atbara and El Amir El Bahrawy teams have already qualified for the League, El Nil Shendi and El Nada Rabak are expected to join them soon.
