Soldiers rape two women in East Jebel Marra, Darfur

Three members of the Sudan Armed Forces raped two young women in the area of Khazan Tunjur in East Jebel Marra on Tuesday. A relative of one of the women told Radio Dabanga that army troops stationed in the area of Khazan Tunjur assaulted the two young women, while they were tending their farmlands today (Wednesday). “The farmlands are located within 5 km from the military garrison,” the source explained. “They raped the women alternately, after which they left them in very bad physical and mental state.” The relative added that the victims were transferred to the village of Goz Dur, south of Tawila town, for treatment.
