Six killed in North Darfur attack

Perpetrators accused of being affiliated to the Sudanese governmentSix people were killed and five injured in Hashaba area of North Darfur on Sunday after gunmen opened fired on them.The civilians were killed on the day of Eid, when armed men riding Land Cruisers, camels and horses fired near a village in Hashaba area of Kutum locality. The intent of the perpetrators was to steal cattle and civilian property.Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the attacks resulted in the death of Mohammed Ahmed Duma, Adam Bush, Wud Hamid, and Zaki Mameday Duma (who was a high school students).Two other deceased have not yet been identified, the witness said. He accused the armed group to have affiliation with the government and said this was the first such attack by the particular group of men.
