Six abducted officials released in southwest Darfur

Six officials who had been abducted in Rehed Al Berdi locality were released yesterday afternoon after negotiations. The men were from different civil department and had been kidnapped more than three weeks ago. All were healthy with the exception of the commissioner’s bodyguard, who had been shot. A source affirmed that the kidnappers were a group of bandits who do not belong to any armed movement.
