Short of malaria medications in Sudan

Sudan has run short of free medications for the treatment of malaria since October. All the states in Sudan are short of free medications for the treatment of malaria since October last year, a medical source reported to Radio Dabanga. In particular the five Darfur states are lacking this “first-line treatment”. “The supply and distribution system of antimalarial medications is defective,” the source explained. “Apart from the fact that there are no actions taken to combat mosquitoes”.
