Salamat refugees returning to Um Dukhun in Central Darfur
Large numbers of Salamat are returning to Um Dukhun town in Central Darfur from neighbouring Chad, to which they fled during clashes with the Misseriya tribe. Sources in Um Dukhun told Radio Dabanga that large numbers of Salamat tribe members arrived on Saturday and Sunday in cars, on carts and on foot. A force of army, security, police and Abu Tira troops, in addition to the joint Sudanese-Chadian force, supervised by a security officer, Brig. Mohamed Juma Dafallah, is checking the town for private possession of weapons.
